LEWISTON — Amy L. (Merrill) Ferguson, 39, of Lewiston, died Thursday, Dec.19, from injuries she sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born in Lewiston on Oct. 1, 1974, a daughter of Leo and Constance (Pelletier) Michaud. She was educated in local schools. For the past 10 years she was a waitress at Denny’s Restaurant in Auburn, a job she truly enjoyed.

Amy loved her daughter and grandchildren more than anything. She spent as much time as she could with them. She also enjoyed spending time with the rest of her family, her music, camping and going to the beach.

She is survived by her daughter, Felicia Merrill and her companion, Jason Downey, of Lewiston; her mother, Connie Michaud of Auburn; her father, Leo Michaud of Oakland; her three grandchildren, Hailee, Angel and Damien Downey of Lewiston; her ex-husband and friend, Jim Ferguson of Auburn; her two stepchildren, Alex Collins and Alyssa Ferguson of Durham; three sisters, Jamie Michaud of Auburn, Pam Reed and husband, Dan, of Bass Harbor, Carolyn McGinley and husband, John, of Auburn; two brothers, Phil Michaud and companion, Lisa Farnum, of Turner and Brian Michaud and wife, Jessica, of Auburn; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all.
