LEWISTON — Twin Cities residents can’t leave their Christmas trees at the curb this year, according to officials.

Both Lewiston and Auburn have set up drop-off locations for residents to bring their used trees. There will be no city curbside Christmas tree collection in either city this year.

In Lewiston, residents can bring their trees to the Adams Avenue Public Works offices or to the Lewiston landfill at 424 River Road.

In Auburn, residents can bring their trees to the Gracelawn Road Public Works Shops, to Mid-Maine Waste Action Corp. Goldthwaite Road location or to Auburn Fire Station No. 2 at 181 South Main St.

Auburn residents may drop off their trees until Jan. 18.
