LEWISTON — Rajeev N. Puri, M.D., a general and trauma surgeon, has been appointed to the Central Maine Medical Center medical staff. He is practicing with Central Maine Surgical Associates, 12 High St., Suite 401 in Lewiston and is a member of the CMMC trauma team.
Prior to beginning his work in the greater Lewiston-Auburn area, Puri practiced mostly at Mercy Health Systems in Joplin, Mo., after a tornado destroyed the main hospital.
A graduate of The College of New Jersey in Ewing, N.J., he earned his medical degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, N.J.
Puri completed residency training through the Albert Einstein Medical Center Department of Surgery, where he was awarded the Mohan Das Award for Outstanding Chief Resident.
He is married.
