1933 – 2014
FARMINGTON — Ivan J. Cormier, 80, of Kimball Avenue in Mexico, passed away on Friday, Jan. 3, at Franklin Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness.
He was born in Rumford on March 3, 1933, a son of Frank and Julie Cormier. Ivan was educated in Rumford schools and was a graduate of Stephens High School, Class of 1951.
Ivan served in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years, having been stationed in Vietnam, Saudi Arabia and England, retiring as a master sergeant. He was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior.
He is survived by his sisters, Sister Aulida Cormier of New Brunswick and Viola Goguen and husband, Roland, of East Millinocket; nieces and nephews; and a longtime companion, Dorothy J. Bradley, of Mexico.
He was predeceased by his parents; two sisters, Rita Madore and Irene Doiron; and a nephew, Jeff Goguen.
