1958 – 2014
NORWAY — Thomas “Tom” L. Farrington, 55, of Norway, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, at his home, very unexpectedly.
He was born in Rumford on June 24, 1958, the son of Frank L. and Annette (Robichaud) Farrington. He graduated from Oxford Hills High School in 1976. Tom was well known in the manufactured housing industry. He had worked at many local businesses including Burlington Homes, Oxford Homes, Keiser Homes, KBS and most recently as a self-employed carpenter.
Tom enjoyed music and spent much of his time attending concerts and festivals with his friends. He enjoyed people and made many great friends throughout his life. One of his life’s highlights was attending Woodstock ’94 with his good friend Mark Akerberg. He also enjoyed going to the Thornton, N.H. Boogie and Blues Festival. He enjoyed hours of laughs and made many memories with his dear friends there.
On August 6, 1983, he married Karen (Reilly) and together they raised their daughter Cassandra. In 2012, he became a grampy to Aiden James.
He will be greatly missed by his parents, Frank and Annette Farrington of Norway; his lifelong friend, Karen Farrington of North Norway; his daughter, Cassie and her companion, Robert Henderson; his grandson, Aiden James of Wrentham, Mass.; his sister, Marie Stevens and her husband, Randy, of Norway; his brothers, Frank W. and his companion, Leslie Keen Thomas, of West Paris and Rodney of Norway; and many nieces and nephews.
