1931 – 2014

BRUNSWICK — Nora E. Adams, 82, of Farmington, died Thursday morning, Jan. 9, at the Parkview Adventist Medical Center in Brunswick.

She was born on May 14, 1931, in Rangeley, a daughter of Harry and Lucy Ellis. Nora attended Farmington and Wilton schools and worked locally in shoe shops and Forster Mfg. in East Wilton. On Feb. 7, 1948, she married Richard Adams in Wilton.

Nora enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, being in the outdoors, fishing and time spent with her family.

She is survived by her children, Nelson Adams and his wife, Nancy, of Winslow, Steve Adams and his wife, Pat, of Woolwich, Mike Adams and his wife, Diane, of Livermore Falls, Pam St. Pierre and her husband, Joe, of Chesterville, Jeff Adams and his wife, Linda, of Bowdoinham and Randy Adams and his wife, Bonnie, of Jay; siblings, Caroline Roberts of South Paris and Clayton Haley of Bowdoinham; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard on May 1, 2006; two sons, Ricky Adams in 1954 and Bobby Adams in 1975; and siblings, Ellen Cole, Ronald Haley, Madeline Kennedy, Mae Fairbanks, Myrtle Parisi, Marjorie Bridgham, June Willey and Pete Ernst.
