RUMFORD — Rumford Hospital delivered its first baby of 2014 on Wednesday morning.
Amy and John Perry IV of Mexico welcomed their second child, Kale Stephen Perry, at 8:49 a.m. Kale, who was due Jan. 15, came a week early by C-section, Amy Perry said.
Kale weighed 9 pounds, 15.6 ounces, and measured 21 inches in length. He was delivered by Dr. Said Daoud of Swift River Health Care in Rumford.
As part of the New Year’s celebration, Rumford Hospital presented Kale and his family with gifts, Amy Perry said.
