Cantata canceled due to weather

NEW SHARON — Due to the inability to meet for rehearsals because of ice, rain, etc., it has been decided to cancel the cantata, “Repeat the Sounding Joy,” scheduled for Jan. 19 at the New Sharon United Methodist Church.

Organizers are considering the possibility of Christmas in July; as some have said, there is less chance for ice then.
