1950 – 2014

LIVERMORE FALLS — Marcia Jean Adams, 63, although Marcia would tell you she was “18,” a resident of Livermore Falls, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at her daughter’s home in Livermore Falls.

She was born in Augusta on June 1, 1950, the daughter of Walter and Virginia (Goggin) True. Marcia attended school in Augusta and was a graduate of Livermore Falls High School. On Oct. 4, 1969, in Pittston, she married her husband of 33 years, Richard W. Adams Sr.; he passed away on April 12, 2003. Marcia devoted her life to her husband and family; she was dedicated to staying home and raising her children and in later years, being there to take care of her grandchildren.

Throughout the years, Marcia volunteered at Fayette and Livermore Falls schools, and was a den mother for both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Marcia was often recognized for her unique outfits, whether it was funky hats, shoes or crayon earrings, she had a sense of humor and wasn’t afraid to voice her opinion. She enjoyed and kept any artwork drawn by her children and grandchildren; she covered the walls and ceilings with the treasures from all of them.

Marcia enjoyed spending time sitting in the sun at David Pond, watching movies and reading, but above all else, spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marcia was the backbone of her family and she will be deeply missed. Her family is comforted by knowing that she is now once again with the love of her life, her husband, Richard.

She is survived by her children, Richard Adams Jr. and his companion, Heidi Charity, Jonathen Adams and companion, Kristen Fournier, Matthew Adams and his wife, Amanda, Julie Adams, Jamie Adams and companion, Brittany Rose, and Rachel Langlin and her husband, Seth, all of Livermore Falls and Renada Hutton and her husband, Joe, of Fayette; 25 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three sisters and their husbands, Sharon and Glen Mercier of Sidney, Pam and Mark Magee of Gardiner and Donna and Rodney Doray of Randolph.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Richard; sisters, Carol True and Diane Darling Gaudette; nephew, Jamie True; and niece, Amber Darling.
