NEW VINEYARD — A local man was charged with operating after suspension Thursday morning when his pickup truck struck a snowbank on Lake Road/Route 234 near Porter Lake and rolled over, police said.

Michael Nevedomsky, 25, of New Vineyard was driving down a hill and around a corner when he lost control of the truck and it hit the snowbank. The truck rolled over and landed on its wheels, Maine State Police Trooper Jed Malcore said Thursday.

Nevedomsky left the scene of the accident, reported at 8:39 a.m., to get help and returned, Malcore said. He was not injured.

The 1999 Chevrolet received moderate damage.

Franklin County Sheriff’s Department and New Vineyard firefighters assisted at the scene.
