The media has an enormous impact on my generation. That has been made clear to me. Different parts are used to communicate and grab the audience’s attention.

The media’s roles are unfair and that is made clear every day.

For example, different media act as gatekeepers, where they choose what gets out to people. Usually the information being shared with the public is irrelevant to what we really need to be informed about. If the news isn’t exciting or interesting to media executives, it doesn’t get out to people.

The gatekeepers are in control of what people hear about. Though the audience decides what to take interest in, caring about it still isn’t enough.

The way in which we consume media offerings is partially why it takes up an abundant amount of time with my generation. Is it not enough for us? Is that the reason we crave more than we need?

The reason why though is still uncertain.

Media has ruined us as a generation and it will continue to if not handled effectively.
