WATERVILLE (AP) — The mother of a missing toddler and supporters are rallying this weekend at the Waterville Police Department to demand answers from law enforcement officials.

Trista Reynolds and her father are participating in the event Saturday in Waterville, where her 22-month-old daughter was reported missing on Dec. 17, 2011. The girl’s father told investigators that he last saw the youngster the night before when he put her to bed.

Investigators believe Ayla Reynolds is no longer alive.

Trista Reynolds has released details in recent months about blood evidence that police described to her as she presses investigators for answers. She says that her family has suffered endlessly and that the only consolation is knowing that the person responsible will be one day brought to justice.
