Master engineer Bob Ludwig won Sunday night for Record of the Year for “Get Lucky” by Daft Punk; Album of the Year and Best Engineered Album for “Random Access Memories” by Daft Punk; and Best Historical Album for “Charlie is My Darling — Ireland 1965” by The Rolling Stones.
The Scarborough resident had won three Grammy’s in prior years.
Ludwig runs Gateway Mastering in Portland. Mastering is the last step in the recording process, where fine adjustments are made to improve the recording’s sound.
