WILTON — The cleanup plan for the Wilton Tannery site will be discussed during a public meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, at the Wilton Town Office.
During the meeting, held prior to the Board of Selectmen meeting, a presentation on the Community Relations Plan and a discussion of the cleanup process will be led by Nick Sabatine, Ransom Consulting, Inc. of Portland.
The meeting also will include the results of site assessment work completed so far, the proposed cleanup action and the potential benefits of site redevelopment. A schedule for cleanup also will be given.
Sabatine will also solicit the public’s concerns and desires for the site.
Wilkes Harper, site project manager from Maine Department of Environmental Protection, and Amy Jean McKeown, the Environmental Protection Agency project officer for the site, will also answer questions.
