1958 – 2014

NEWPORT — Cheryl Pepin Gonzalez, 55, very peacefully passed to be with our heavenly Father and our loved ones, who welcomed her with angels’ wings, on Saturday, Feb. 1.

She was born in Rumford on May 24, 1958, to Paul and Joyce (Holman) Pepin, who are both deceased. Cheryl graduated from Nokomis Regional High in Newport with the Class of 1976, and was employed for more than 20 years as an accounts payable specialist at United Technologies Corp., in Pittsfield.

Above all, she enjoyed being a wife and mother; spending time with close family and friends; playing with her pets, Rufus and Roxie; playing games on her computer; watching sports, such as the Red Sox and high school basketball tournaments; camping at Papoose Pond; listening to music and making other people laugh, with her unique sense of humor.

Cheryl had a strong relationship with the Lord, as she was a communicant of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Pittsfield.

She is survived by her husband, Alberto Francisco Gonzalez-Blanco, of Newport; two sons, Nicholas of Newport and Anthony of Palmyra; one daughter, Kristina Gonzalez, of Newport; two brothers, Michael Pepin of Saco and David Pepin of Newport; a sister and her husband, Sandra and Brett Crosby of Hermon; and many nieces and nephews.
