OXFORD — Two top administrators in the Oxford Hills School District have announced they will leave their positions this year.

Oxford and Otisfield Elementary School Principal Kim Ramharter tendered her resignation Jan. 30, effective at the end of the school year. Facilities Director and longtime SAD 17 employee David Marshall will retire at the end of the month.

SAD 17 Superintendent Rick Colpitts said Monday night just before the school board meeting that he was not surprised by either notice. He said Ramharter is going back to Alaska to be with family.

In his Jan 29. resignation letter, Marshall said he is looking forward to spending time with his family.

Ramharter was hired in 2003 as assistant principal of the Guy E. Rowe Elementary School in Norway. She was later appointed Harrison Elementary School principal and the Waterford Elementary School principal in 2009.

By 2010, Ramharter was serving as principal of the Oxford and Otisfield Elementary schools.

On Jan. 5, Rowe Elementary School Principal George “Beaux” Sincerbeaux announced he plans to retire at the end of the school year after 40 years in education. A former teacher, guidance counselor and principal for 24 years, Sincerbeaux has worked in Vermont and in Aroostook County in Maine. He has served as principal at the Rowe school for the past 13 years.
