LIVERMORE FALLS — Selectmen took action Tuesday on eight town-acquired properties.

Together, the properties represent more than $30,000 owed to the town as of Tuesday, according to Tax Collector Dawn Young’s information.

The board voted to offer a piece of property at 1 Birch St. to abutters. The town is owed $17,059.36 with most of it representing the town’s cost to have a condemned house torn down in 2010.

A neighbor is very interested in the property, Young told selectmen.

Traditionally, the board offers foreclosed land parcels to abutters before they are put out to bid, board Chairman Bill Demaray said.

The property is under the minimum lot size, he said.

The board voted to keep a small piece of land on Sewall Street. The total owed on it is $588.07.

The board voted to waive foreclosure on two mobile homes at a park off Souther Road. The town is owned $720.86 on the one at 17 Globe St.; and $438.31 on one at 5 Master St.

The park owner wants them gone, Young said, and does not want a tax abatement on them because it would cost too much to tear them down, she said.

Selectmen opted to not foreclose on them.

The board agreed to offer a house and a piece of property at 6 Franklin Ave. to three abutters, including Dunkin’ Donuts and Dr. Michele Knapp. The town is owed $3,753.94 for that property.

Selectmen voted to put a house and lot at 96 Depot St. out to bid. The amount owed on that property is $4,472.03. One room in the house was burned in a fire, Town Manager Kristal Flagg said.

Two properties owned by the same family on Beaulieu Road will also be put out to bid. One parcel has a house and land; the other just land. The amount owed is $138.22 for the land and $2,262.47 for the house and land.

The board voted to put a house and land at 22 Gagnon St. out to bid. The town is owed $5,704.28 for it.

Selectmen have the right to accept or reject any bids, Demaray said.
