Martin D. ‘Marty’ Smith

1948 – 2014

BURLINGTON, Mass. — Martin D. “Marty” Smith, 65, of Stratton, died Saturday evening, Feb. 1, at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Mass., following a long illness.

He was born in Bath on Dec. 3, 1948, a son of Paul E. and Betty A. (Alexander) Smith, and graduated from Jay High School in 1967. He was employed as a general contractor.

He is survived by his mother, Betty Houle, of Jay; 11 brothers and sisters; and his significant other, Etta Kaprinay, of Stratton.
