Roland and Barbara
Warren
BUCKFIELD — Roland and Barbara Warren of Buckfield recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple was married at the Buckfield Community Church on Dec. 7, 1963, one week before the bridegroom went overseas in the Army for 13 months.
Following this separation and his time in the service, they settled back in Buckfield and raised 13 children.
The blessed children of the couple honored their parents on Dec. 8 at a public celebration held at Faith Bible Chapel in Buckfield, where more than 100 family members and friends attended.
On Dec. 28 the entire family, with currently 61 members (37 grandchildren and one great-grandchild) were able to be together and celebrate at a private gathering.
The couple has accomplished many things over the past 50 years and consider the first 50 years as the hardest.
