JAY — A Mass of Christian Burial for Antoinette “Toni” Peary of Livermore Falls was celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at the St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay, with the Rev. Tom Lequin as celebrant.

Toni’s sons, Bruce and Kirk Peary; grandsons, Alex and Chris Peary; one of “Meme’s kids,” Kevin Libby; and family friend, Kurt Rosell, served as pallbearers. Toni’s daughter-in-law, Tamara Peary, and family friend, Rhonda Wiles-Rosell, carried the Bible and crucifix forward for Bruce and Kirk, who placed them on the casket at the altar.

Alex and Chris Peary offered the readings and Mary Jo Hamel and Ruth Ann Gagnon brought the gifts forward. Hymns for Mass, sang by the Resurrection Choir and accompanied by Therese Therrien, were “Lord, You Have Come to the Seashore;” “Here I Am, Lord;” “To You, O’ Lord;” “In the Garden,” featuring Theresa Bilodeau; “Ave Maria,” featuring Don Lesuer; “I Know That My Redeemer Lives,” featuring Theresa Bilodeau; and “J’irai La Voir.”

Winter entombment is at the Wiles Remembrance Center, 308 Franklin Road, Jay. Spring committal will be at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Civic Center Drive, Augusta.
