1925 -2014

AUBURN — Reginald J.P. Corson, 88, of Sabattus, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, Feb. 11, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.

He was born in Fairfield on April 28, 1925; he grew up in that area and attended local schools. Before finishing high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army when he was 17 and served his country during World War II, until 1946. After being discharged from the Army, he completed his education.

Reggie was a bus driver for SAD 9 for 19 years. On Dec. 8, 1984, he married Dolores Fournier at Lisbon Baptist Church and they started their life together as a married couple. During that time, Reggie worked for VIP Tour and Charter Bus Co., until his retirement in 2006. He was a member of the Norridgewock Alumni.

Reggie will always be remembered for his love of woodworking, camping, fishing, hunting and traveling. He was especially fond of his trips with Dolores to Florida.

He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Dolores; his children, Gary and Alan Corson and Sandra Hight; and stepchildren, Kenneth Dore, Lorraine Curran and her husband, Michel, Pauline Fournier and her spouse, Barbara, Diane Levin and her husband, Robert, Rachel York and her companion, Toby, Michael Fournier and his companion, Jennifer DeRosa, Claire Fournier and Mark Fournier and his companion, Tammy Brule. He also leaves behind two sisters, Patricia Caron and Lena Barker; a stepbrother, Robert Corson; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents.
