BRUNSWICK — The wedding of Daphne Watson Gerard and Andre Treakle Demers was held at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 18 at the Bowdoin College Chapel in Brunswick. E. Anne Carton, attorney, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Demers is the daughter of John Gerard and Julie Boehme of Brunswick. Mr. Demers is the son of Normand and Kathleen Demers of Auburn. Whitney Gerard, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Ashley Tartarilla, Jessica Means and Emily Zack, all friends of the bride.

Serving as best man for his friend was Paul Durant. Ushers were Tony St. Pierre, Daniel Bastian and Michael Boutselis, all friends of the bridegroom. Cayden Gerard, nephew, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Inn at Brunswick Station in Brunswick, after which the couple traveled to Playa del Carmen in Mexico. They are residing in South Portland.

The bride received her bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Southern Maine in 2010. She currently works at Woodfords Family Services at a preschool. She intends on continuing her education to earn a master’s degree in special education.

The bridegroom received his bachelor’s degree in English from St. Anselm College in 2010. He currently works at SironaHealth as a client services associate. He is enrolled in a graduate study program for non-profit management.
