FARMINGTON — The Fairbanks School Neighborhood Association will hold a Penny Social/Auction on Sunday, Feb. 23, at the Fairbanks School.
Two-part tickets are purchased at the door and used to bid on auction items. All tickets are put in a basket and the winning ticket is pulled out at random.
Tickets sales begin at noon. Two hours are set aside to bid on more than 100 items. The drawing for items will start at 2 p.m.
Bidders must be present to win. Audience members will participate in the drawing. Ticket prices are 5 for $1; 25 for $5 plus five for free.
Refreshments will be available for the audience.
Auction items include gift baskets, toys, jewelry, household goods, gift certificates, new clothing, books, games and home-baked goods.
Fairbanks School is at 508 Fairbanks Road, Farmington. It is 2½ miles north on Route 4 from the center lights in downtown Farmington.
The Penny Social is a benefit and all proceeds go to the school’s sprinkler system/maintenance fund.
