VIKINGS INTO THE FINALS

The Vikings are conquering.
Both boy’s and girl’s Oxford Hills basketball team downed opponents Wednesday night in Augusta, extending their playoff runs as they’re set for the Eastern Maine Class A Finals.
Both games came down to the wire, with the boys forced into overtime against Brunswick and the girls dodging defeat against Messalonskee after a game-winning three-pointing clanked off the rim.
It will be a nail-biting Friday evening for Oxford Hills parents. Both teams face the top seeds in the Eastern brackets as the girls play Edward Little Red Eddies (19-1) who overpowered Cony at 7:05 p.m. at the Augusta County Civic Center, only to be followed by the boys about two hours later as they face undefeated defending Class A champion Hampden Academy who handily dispatched Edward Little.
