TURNER — The town spent $105,623.10 maintaining roads this winter, Public Words Director John Moultrie wrote in his report to selectmen Tuesday night. Equipment breakdowns this month have totaled $6,265.82, he said.

Town Manager Scott LaFlamme said the crew is trying to make the salt supply last the season because there has been a large increase in price.

The board decided to list all property owners and their taxes in the town report this year. Usually they are listed every two years and should have been last year but were not.

Delinquent taxpayers are always listed.

LaFlamme said the board will continue budget discussions at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24.

The board approved getting bids for printing 2,500 copies of the annual town report. Bids will be accepted until noon March 3; selectmen will award the contract later that day.

In his monthly report, LaFlamme wrote that the proposed budget for SAD 52 has considerable increases and representatives from the board will meet with school directors at 6 p.m. March 27. The highest increases are special education, with a 15 percent jump; transportation, 10.54 percent; and facilities and maintenance, 11.39 percent.
