LEWISTON — Nina K. Edwards, M.D., a general surgeon, has been appointed to the Central Maine Medical Center medical staff. She is practicing with Central Maine Surgical Associates in Lewiston. She specializes in minimally-invasive surgery, also called laparoscopic surgery.
Before joining the greater Lewiston-Auburn medical community, Edwards worked for more than eight years at York Hospital in York. As part of her work at York Hospital, she served as chairperson of the Breast Committee and was medical director of breast care.
She is a member of the clinical adjunct faculty at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford.
Edwards is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Medical Association, American Society of General Surgeons, American Society of Breast Surgeons, Maine Medical Association and the Maine State Medical Society.
