FARMINGTON — The historic Dartmouth Race begins at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 2, at Titcomb Mountain.

It is for Farmington Ski Club members and Titcomb pass holders ages 12 and younger. Groups are divided into girls and boys, with age categories of 6 and under, 7 and 8, 9 and 10, and 11 and 12.

There is a sign-up sheet in the lodge and sign-ups will be accepted until about 45 minutes before race time. Bibs will be handed out at 12:30 p.m. Sunday. The course is two runs on the Otter Slide and there will be plenty of room between the gates for all ages.

The winners will have their names put on the Dartmouth Trophy, which lists all of the winners since the first year in 1952. It is one of the oldest continually held races in the United States, and was started by Dartmouth College alumni in memory of graduate John “Jack” Titcomb, for whom the slope was named.
