JAY — The Tri Town Seniors met at St. Rose Parish Hall on March 3, with 20 members and one guest present.

After the opening ceremonies, President Fernande Doiron announced two members were on the sick list and get-well cards are to be sent.

Members celebrating birthdays in March were recognized and George Doiron, along with the members, sang “Happy Birthday” to Margaret Jacques, Elvina Miller, Carmen Moreau and Doris Wilson. George then sang “In the good old summer time” in hopes of bringing warmer weather soon.

The secretary’s and treasurer’s reports were read and accepted as read.

A St. Patrick’s Day meal will be held on March 17, and there is still a need for food for the meal. Fern reminded the group that a hospitality chairman is still needed, as well as helpers for the refreshments.

The Easter meal will be held on April 14; more information will be shared next week. Fern also noted the Knights of Columbus will hold a free supper on Saturday, March 8, and the American Legion have their supper on March 15. All are invited to support local organizations.
