AUBURN — The Woman’s Literary Union of Androscoggin County will host Eileen Adams at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 13. Adams will discuss and demonstrate techniques for starting plants indoors and the various types of seedling containers and soil mixtures, the lighting necessary in the seedling growing process and garden tips.
This program will take place at the historic Horatio and Ella Foss house, 19 Elm St. Members are encouraged to bring guests. Admission to the clubhouse is free but donations are accepted.
This month a charitable collection of clothing, toiletries, wipes, etc., for Trinity Jubilee will be gathered.
Organized in 1892, the Woman’s Literary Union is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to further the intellectual, cultural and educational advancement of its members and the community, and preserve the nationally registered Horatio Foss Mansion.
