The show, a grown-up story about growing up, will be directed by Richard Martin, with music direction by Paul G. Caron and choreography by Vincent Ratsavong.

When his parents get divorced and he’s forced to move from New York to a small town in Indiana, Evan Goldman just wants to make friends and survive the school year — easier said than done. The star quarterback is threatening to ruin his life and his only friend, Patrice, won’t talk to him. The school freak sees an opportunity for blackmail and someone is spreading the nastiest rumors.

With an unforgettable rock score from Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown, “13” is a hilarious, high-energy musical for all ages about discovering that cool is where you find it, and sometimes where you least expect it.

Auditions will be held at CLT’s home at Great Falls Performing Arts Center, 30 Academy Street. Production dates are June 6-15.

Copies of the script will be available during box office hours at Community Little Theater.

For singing, a choice of a musical selection from “13” is preferable for the audition. Nevertheless, singers may select and prepare songs of their choosing. Each person is asked to provide the music sheet to the musical director prior to singing. There will be no a capella singing for this audition. All auditioners will be required to undergo a dance audition. They are asked to wear appropriate clothing and footwear (character shoes) for choreography auditions.

Cast members must be between 11 and 17 years old. The purpose of this range is to capture players who may be older, or younger, than 13 years old, but “appear” to be 13.
