HARTFORD — Peggy Poskus was elected selectman Tuesday with 41 votes cast at the Town Hall, Town Clerk Lianne Bedard said.
There was one write-in vote and one blank ballot, she said.
Poskus was the only announced candidate for the position held by Zoe Cowett, who resigned Feb. 6 with two years left on her term.
The town also will have to fill the deputy treasurer position Poskus held, Bedard said.
The other selectmen are Chairman Lee Holman and Jack Plumley.
