LEWISTON — Pizza and Rootbeer Float Night is back at the Lewiston Winter Farmers’ Market to be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 20, at 208 Bates St.

Classic New York-style pizza will feature artisan dough from Forage Market and fresh local veggies and meat from neighboring farms. Pizza will be accompanied by Caesar salad featuring local greens and a heaping mug of Eli’s rootbeer with Maine maple ice-cream in honor of March Maple Madness.

Pizza choices for the night will include classic cheese, roasted vegetable and maple sausage. Cost is $3 for a generous slice, $6 with a side salad and $10 for pizza, root beer float and salad. The cost for a root beer float on its own is $5.

Customers will also be entered into a raffle to win a gift basket of all things maple from participating vendors.

After stopping by the café visitors to the market can shop with their favorite vendors selling Maine-grown and made products including fresh fruits and vegetables, artisan breads and cheeses, arts and crafts, body products, beef, eggs, fresh cut flowers and more.

This market will be the last of the season.

The Lewiston Winter Farmers’ Market meets the third Thursday of every month from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the St. Mary’s Nutrition Center,  208 Bates St. The Lewiston Winter Farmers’ Market is sponsored by St. Mary’s Health System and is supported by staff from the St. Mary’s Nutrition Center.
