1913 – 2014

LEWISTON — Leda M. Allaire, 100, formerly of Main Street in Auburn, died Saturday, March 15, at Marshwood Health Care after a short illness with her family at her side.

Born in Manchester, N.H. on Nov. 15, 1913, the daughter of Nelson and Corinne (Parenteau) Pouliot.

She worked in the textile industry as a spinner in the mills of Brunswick, the Hill and the Bates Mills for more than 45 years.

She is survived by one son, Leo Allaire and his wife, Beverly, of Turner; three grandchildren, Dan Allaire and his wife, Audrey, of Sabattus, Scott Allaire and his wife, Becky, of Turner and Tracy Hemond and her husband, Michael, of Minot; seven great-grandchildren, Craig, Bryce, Josh, Alex, and Danielle Allaire, and Travis and Nicholas Hemond; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by three brothers, John, George and Willie Pouliot; and four sisters, Eva and Mary Berube, Anna Pouliot and Rose Breton.
