AUBURN — The Woman’s Literary Union of Androscoggin County will host its “Hello Spring!” bunco event from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, at the historic Foss Mansion, 19 Elm St.
Bunco is a made-for-fun dice game that dates back to 18th-century England. The evening will begin with instruction and practice rounds before the real playing begins.
This event is open to the public. Admission is a $5 donation at the door. Reservations are required before March 23; call 207-753-0931 or email denisescammon@gmail.com. There is space for 40 players and the seats fill up fast.
Light refreshments will be served and small prizes will be awarded.
WLU’s Book Nook will be open during the event; used books are $1 each. Donations go toward maintenance of the Foss Mansion as well as the WLU scholarship fund.
Organized in 1892, the Woman’s Literary Union is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to further the intellectual, cultural and educational advancement of its members and the community and preserve the nationally registered Foss Mansion.
