NEW SHARON — Funeral services for Daniel A. Porter were held Sunday afternoon, March 16, at Wiles Remembrance Center in Farmington, with Rhonda Wiles-Rosell officiating.

His oldest grandson, Jim, offered a personal eulogy and his sister-in-law, Jean Mitchell of Temple, shared a poem and a personal eulogy. Special music included REO Speedwagon’s “I Wish You Were There,” Alan Jackson’s “Remember When” and Bob Seger’s “The Famous Final Scene.”

Following services, all were welcomed to a comfort reception at the Center. Winter entombment is also at the Center. Spring burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Farmington.
