AUBURN — The Auburn Public Library will offer a workshop on mini-salad gardens at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, in the Androscoggin Room.

In this hands-on workshop, led by Bridgette Bartlett of the St. Mary’s Nutrition Center, participants will learn some of the basics of successful gardening and plant their own mini-salad garden using recycled materials.

Registration is required. Contact the library at 333-6640, ext. 4, to sign-up.

Bartlett is the Garden Education Coordinator at the St. Mary’s Nutrition Center and has more than 12 years experience in showing people how they can grow food almost anywhere. The St. Mary’s Nutrition Center promotes community health through organizing, advocacy and education. It is home to the Lots to Gardens program, a food pantry, farmers’ markets, and various garden, cooking and nutrition education programs for adults, teens and kids.
