1925 – 2014

BERWICK — Jean Burbank, 88, of Berwick, formerly of Wilton, died Thursday, March 27, at her daughter’s home in Berwick, with her family by her side.

She was born on June 4, 1925, in Livermore Falls, a daughter of Otho and Nell (Hood) Partridge. She attended local schools and graduated from Livermore Falls High School in 1943.

On June 30, 1945, she married Orie Burbank in Warren.

As a young woman, Jean worked for two years as a beautician at the Eveleth Beauty Salon. Her most coveted work however, was that of a loving homemaker to her husband and children.

Jean was a member of the Triple Town Swingers and Bunco Babes and was active with local Girl Scout and Boy Scout groups. She enjoyed sewing for family and friends, making baked goods for school bake sales and helping pack apples in the fall for the Morrison and Harland Orchards.

She is survived by a daughter, Dianne Pomeroy Hathorn and her husband, Brian; Dianne’s daughter, Paula Pomeroy Lindsey and husband, Dale, and their children, Dustin, Dylan, Morgan and Gillian; Dianne’s son, Andrew Pomeroy and his wife, Catherine; and Brian’s sons, Keith, Tim and their families; a daughter, Cheryl Pomerleau and Cheryl’s daughter, Lisa Pomerleau; and Lisa’s son, Zachary; Cheryl’s daughter, Cynthia Eldridge Pattershall and husband, Kevin, and their children, Corey, Bryan, Sierra, Aaron and Tyler; Cheryl’s son, Michael Pomerleau; a daughter, Cynthia Rose Hatfield and husband, Steven;  Cynthia’s son, Jeremy Rose and wife, Jessi, and their daughter, Hailey; a daughter-in-law, Aldine Burbank and daughter, Gloria Burbank Moulton; Gloria’s son, Garret and Aldine’s son, Bruce Burbank and wife, Jennifer, and their sons, Ryan, Tyler and Jason.

Jean was predeceased by her parents; her beloved husband, Orie; their son, Bruce; her brothers, Glen and Vaughn Partridge; sons-in-law, Paul Pomeroy, John Pomerleau and Jeffrey Rose.
