LOCKE MILLS — The Bryant Pond 4-H Camp and Learning Center will offer April vacation outdoor fun with kids from all over Maine. There are three choices for students to experience.

The camp is using its scholarship funds to provide a lower tuition rate.

Elementary School Overnight Camp is for grades four through six. It is a three-day, two-night camp, and activities will include primitive skills, teambuilding, gardening, archery, air rifles, wildlife, survival shelters, geocaching, disc golf, star gazing and bottle rockets. It will end with a Bryant Pond tradition, a campfire. The program includes all meals and snacks.

The camp will run from 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 24. Because of strong working partnership, students who are enrolled in Western Foothills Kids Association and have attended 15 or more days of programming this school year will have a cost of $50. Cost for non-WFKA students is $250. Full cost to Bryant Pond is $320/student.

Elementary School Day Camp is for ages 7 to 13. The five-day program allows students to experience the fun activities of Bryant Pond during the day whilespending the evenings at home. The program includes lunch and snack each day.

Student will be broken into two age-appropriate groups, 7 to 10 years and 10 to 13. The camp will run from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, April 21 to 25. Students who are enrolled in Western Foothills Kids Association will have a cost of $50.

Middle School Expedition, for sixth- to eighth-graders, is a four-day/three-night backpacking trip that will challenge students to step outside their comfort zones. The trip will start out with one night at camp preparing for the trip and two nights in the White Mountains.

It will begin at 9 a.m. Monday, April 21, and students will be back at Camp at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 24. The program based on a minimum enrollment of six participants. Students who are enrolled in Western Foothills Kids Association will have a cost of $50. Cost for non-WFKA students is $218. Full cost to Bryant Pond is $448/student.
