LEWISTON — The Many Dillingham Chapter, National Daughters of the American Revolution, Lewiston-Auburn, will honor six area high school seniors at a meeting to be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, at the United Methodist Church in Auburn.

The students are winners of the annual DAR Good Citizens Award and the DAR National Defense Good Citizenship Medal Award.

They are chosen by their schools for outstanding honesty, courage, service, leadership and patriotism.

The Good Citizen Awards also provide the opportunity for the student to participate in an essay contest for which scholarships are presented on the state and national level.

The DAR Good Citizens are chosen by the students and faculty of public and accredited schools.

The Good Citizenship Medal Award is given on the chapter level through the National Defense Committee for the same merits.

Both awards are open to boys and girls.
