PORTLAND — Renaissance Voices will present “American Voices,” featuring the music of three local contemporary composers, Patricia van Ness, Faith York, and Harold Stover, the group’s director, at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at Williston-Immanuel United Church, 156 High Street.

Also on the program are works by American composers George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Sammy Fain, Stephen Foster, William Billings, George Root, and New Englander Amy Beach. The music ranges from the 18th century to the present; the lyrics include those of Sappho and Shakespeare as well as more modern poets.
