FARMINGTON — A Rangeley woman is accused of shoplifting more than $200 in items from Walmart on Wednesday.
Sgt. Edward Hastings IV arrested Jennifer Clifford, 28, on misdemeanor charges of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and violation of condition of release, police secretary Bonnie Pomeroy said Thursday.
A loss-prevention associate at the store detained Clifford and called police, she said. The items taken included nearly $240 in Easter cards, cosmetics and clothing, Pomeroy said.
Clifford is being held without bail at the Franklin County jail until she goes in front of a judge, a corrections officer said.
