It is time for a change in Washington. Shenna Bellows, Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate, promises to bring the breath of fresh air that Maine wants and deserves.

Bellows has a proven record of strong leadership. As director of the ACLU of Maine, she fought to reinstate same-day voter registration and to establish marriage equality in our state.

In the Senate, she will fight to raise the minimum wage, reduce corporate tax loopholes, and make this country more sustainable.

She has worked jobs from Subway sandwich artist to director of a statewide organization. She knows what it’s like to work hard and pay her dues.

I’m thrilled to have a strong candidate like Shenna Bellows to vote for in November. When voters send her to Washington, D.C., she will work to ensure both the public’s civil rights and civil liberties.

She’s the change that Maine needs.
