FARMINGTON —

will play her first concert in Farmington in many years on Saturday, May 10, at Nordica Auditorium. Clark, a Maine native, has entertained audiences across the United States with her voice, songwriting, and 6-string and 12-string guitar playing.

Clark has shared the stage with Shawn Colvin, Richie Havens, Patty Larkin, Leo Kottke, and Cheryl Wheeler, and has been a two-time finalist in the New Folk Songwriters’ Competition in Kerrville, Texas.

Opening for Clark will be local act Stan & Dan, whose Internet hit, “What the North Pond Hermit Knows,” has been featured on Bill Green’s Maine, WCSH6; New York Times online; a forthcoming documentary film; and a youtube video that has had 10,000 hits. Stan & Dan consists of Americana/bluegrass songwriter Stan Keach and mandolin virtuoso Dan Simons.

The concert at Nordica, Merrill Hall, 224 Main St., UMF, will start at 7 p.m. Ticket prices are adults $12 in advance, $15 at the door; children 8 and under, free. The concert will benefit the Farmington Emblem Club, who will sell refreshments and do a 50/50 raffle. Tickets are available at Everyday Music in Farmington, or by calling 207-397-2241.
