At a recent general membership meeting of the William J. Rogers Post 153, American Legion, Commander Paul R. Bernard, at right, was honored to present Dana Brooks, left, past post commander, with a 50-year certificate from John Hargreaves, commander of the American Legion Department of Maine, and from Daniel M. Dellinger, national commander of the American Legion. Brooks has been a member of the American Legion for 50 years, serving the community, state and nation. A cake, featuring an American flag made of frosting, was specially designed by Brooks’ daughter-in-law, Dyen Brooks.
