LEWISTON — The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing is sponsoring the following programs in May:

“Juggling in One Easy Lesson,” with Randy Judkins, on May 6 from 2 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 7 p.m.

Judkins has some four decades of experience as a juggler and has particular aptitude as a teacher. The goal of the workshops is to teach participants to use this ancient and achievable skill as a stress reduction tool.

The program is open to anyone age 18 and older. Space is limited, so interested individuals are urged to register early by calling the Dempsey Center at 795-8250.

“Coffee and Cupcakes: A Women’s Cancer Support Group” on May 6 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

This new group is for women who have “been on a cancer journey.” Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and share their experience. Drop-ins are welcome and no pre-registration is required.

“Morning Meditation,” a drop-in group meditation session led by oncology social worker Kerry Irish. Open to anyone. No pre-registration required.

Sessions are held Tuesdays from May 6 through June 24 from 8 to 8:30 a.m. Each session will consist of mindfulness instruction, group practice and discussion. Space is limited to 15 people.

All programs will be offered free of charge at the Dempsey Center, 29 Lowell St. (fifth floor). Call 795-8250 for more information.
