LEWISTON — The Franco Center will host its next session of Saturday morning “Fun in French” classes for children 4 to 10 years old beginning Saturday, May 17.

The course consists of 90-minute sessions running from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday mornings. The five classes will take place over five weeks, starting May 17, and the last class ending June21.

No prior language experience is necessary. A parent, grandparent or adult caregiver must accompany each child or pair of siblings.

The intention is to provide an opportunity for parents and/or grandparents to learn some activities in French that they can build on between sessions, as well as play together with their children/grand-children.

The course will be taught by Jacynthe Jacques, a native of Quebec who has lived in the Lewiston area for the past 18 years.

The cost is $50 per child and $10 less for each additional sibling and is due prior to the first class. The fee covers all five sessions.

A minimum of five students is required for the Franco Center to hold the classes, with refunds granted to those who have pre-paid if the minimum threshold is not met.

No refunds are given for any individual classes that are missed.
