FARMINGTON — Plans and an application for construction of a Family Dollar store on Wilton Road were received by the town Thursday.

They will be discussed during a Planning Board meeting set for 6 p.m. Monday, May 12, at the Municipal Building.

On behalf of Hunt Real Estate Services of Tampa, Fla., Ransom Consulting Inc. submitted the application for a proposed 8,320-square-foot Family Dollar store.

The plans are considered preliminary, Ransom Project Manager Steven Bradstreet said in the materials.

Hunt Real Estate Services is purchasing 1.08 acres from Patrick and Chong Boivin. The lot is on the south end of the Harvest House Restaurant property and next to Healthquest Chiropractic.

The plan proposes construction a 80- by 104-foot building with 34 parking spaces and an entrance off Routes 2 and 4.

The project is expected to start in July, according to the application.
