1957 – 2014

AUBURN — Isabell C. Fisher, 56, of Auburn died Friday, May 9, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin with her loving family by her side following a long illness.

She was born in Lewiston on July 6, 1957, the daughter of the late Walter and Gertrude (Alexander) Martin, and had been a resident of this community all of her life.

She attended Lewiston and Auburn schools and was a graduate of Lewiston High School Class of 1981. She then continued her education through L/A College and graduated in 1984. She was employed for Androscoggin Head Start from 1986 to 2003.

Isabell was an avid Elvis Pressley collector and loved to play bingo.

She had married Laforest Fisher on Oct. 10, 1981, and he died on March 11, 1991.

She is survived by three daughters, Charlotte Greene of Auburn, Jessica Fisher and her companion, Wade Rundlett, of Phillips, and Jennie Ouellette and her husband, Bert, of Lewiston; two sons, Ralph Greene and his wife, Teshia, of Auburn, and Jeffrey Fisher and his companion, Amy Ouellette, of Lewiston; two sisters, Charlotte Martin and her companion, Real Bealieu, of South Paris and Margaret Martin and her companion, Ron Pelchat, of Otisfield; one brother, Walter R. Martin and his wife, Diane, of Casco; 15 grandchildren, Breanna Beaulieu, Ocean Rundlett, Nevaeh Simard, Stephanie Parent, Cheryl Hiscock, Darnell, Gerald, John, David and Jeffrey Ouellette, Zachary Garber, Jaden and Peighton Simard, Peter Ayer and Mason Rundlett; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by two daughters Robin Demmons and Cheryl Spencer; three sisters Josephine Martin, Nancy Burdette and Irene Martin; and by a brother Irving Martin.

The family wishes to the thank Dr. Kennedy, Dr. Sanal, Dr. Austin and the staff at the Hospice House of Androscoggin, the nurses and the staff at Clover Manor Health Care Facility for making our mother Isabell Fisher comfortable in her last days.
