1952 – 2014

LEWISTON — Susan C. St. Pierre, 62, of Sabattus, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, with her family by her side.

She was born in Lewiston on Feb. 20, 1952, a daughter of the late Amedee and Jeanine (St. Hilaire) Emond. She grew up in the Lewiston area, attended local schools and was a student at Lewiston High School. On Aug. 11, 1977, she married Donald St. Pierre and they had a son.

Susan was a CNA and spent over 19 years on the nursing staff at Russell Park in Lewiston. She loved to help the elderly and sick. She will always be remembered for her enjoyment of music, crossword puzzles and playing cards. She also held her faith and religion in very high regard.

She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Donald; her son, Joey St. Pierre; stepson, Christopher and his wife, Annette; and a stepdaughter, Jennifer Costello and her husband, Eric. Susan also leaves behind her sisters, Linda Emond and Debra and Karen St. Hilaire; a brother, Michael St. Hilaire; and her grandchildren, Ryan St. Pierre, Jonathan Whitaker and Kyle St. Pierre; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the St. Mary’s ICU staff for their compassion and devoted care to Susan in her final days.
