1935 – 2014

AUBURN — Louise M. Haas, 79, of Otisfield, lost her battle with cancer on Wednesday, May 14, at the Hospice House.

She was born in Otisfield on Jan. 2, 1935, a daughter of Ruth and Charles Kimball Sr. She married Herbert B. Lee and worked picking potatoes in Corinna, as well as at Standard Linen and Casco Paper Co. in Portland. Herbert passed away in May 1969. She later married Clifford Haas; he passed away in May 2006. She then worked as a CNA and a CRMA at the Sarah Frye Home, at Bridgton Hospital and her last job at Casco Inn in Casco, retiring due to ill health in November 2009.

Louise loved telling stories of her life; she loved the ocean and she especially loved to shop. She also adored her cat, Smokie.

She is survived by her son, Wade W. Lee; her daughter, Doris E. Curtis; a stepson, Clifford Haas Jr.; grandchildren, Melissa Lee, Adam Lee, Erin Larochelle, Jennifer Lee, Brittnie Nelson and Tyler Curtis; seven great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Linda Lee; and her siblings, Shirley Bryant, Polly Ross, Linda Adams, Nancy Arris, Betty Andrews, Charles Kimball Jr. and Eddie Kimball.

She was predeceased by her sons, Herbert B. Lee in July 2010 and Robert E. Lee in August 2013; her brothers, Billy Kimball and Bob Kimball; and her sister, Ruth Melissa Kimball.
